Late last year I called a friend of mine in Mass. who owes me more than a couple of favors. I put in an order and shipped him some cash and he came through for me.
A couple of weeks ago I received a shipment of glass Icicles. These are all handmade in a small shop that has a long history and are usualy only sold in two stores. (One is the Smithsonian in Washington.) These came in packages of six and I had enough packages to give one to each of my co-workers. (We also had enough to give one package each to all of my wife's co-workers.)
Each package also had a handwritten description of the Icicles as well as their history.
Each package was wrapped and tagged with a name. Neither my wife nor I put our names in the "From" area, that was left blank.
Last week we brought these packages in and slipped them under the trees in our respective break rooms.
It was interesting hearing the people wondering where these gifts came from. No one picked up on it which was fine by us.
