When my wife and I get home from a short ride this afternoon we find a notice taped to our door. It is asking us to show up at the front office as soon as we can.
WE don't bother to shed our leather but just head down there. When we get there and ask what this is about we are told there have been several complaints about us. I ask for a receive the written complaints. When I read them I start shaking my head, WTF?
There are several complaints against us. Some we have dealt with before and some are new. None make sense.
Our yard is a mess, it is covered with Pine Needles.
Our front steps don't match the decor of the park.
Our Christmas Lights are offensive.
We are taking up too much parking area.
Okay, I ask the prson we're dealing with to come to our place and check things out. He agrees and goes with us. He looks things over and shakes his head before heading back to the office while telling us he'll look into the complaints. A short while later he's back.
He explains about the complaints and I tell him he needs to talk with the people making the complaints.
Our yard is a mess. Yeah right. We have four Pine Trees around us, they drop needles on a daily basis. My wife and I rake the yard on a weekly basis. The problem is we don't rake our neighbors yard. They have complained about this, claiming we should be raking all of the yard and not just our section.
Our steps don't match the decor of the park. They surely don't. Most people stairs are made of boards layed across Cinder Blocks. The complaint was put in by the person who wanted me to make him a set of steps for free. (I refused.)
Our Christmas lights are offensive. This was registered by a guy on the other side of the park. He didn't like the fact I didn't have a Manger Scene. (I have Candy Canes and a couple of animated Deer.)
As for the complaint of my taking up too much parking space. This is from my Hispanic Neighbor. He doesn't like Bikes and he seems to think his friends should be able to park in my parking space when ever they come over. This is the same one who complained about my yard. (Then again he just doesn't like me. I refuse to kiss his ass and he doesn't like that. He's the one who used to toss his kids diapers in my yard until I started tossing them back onto his property, namely his roof.)
I told the guy from the office that he needs to start screening the complaints before I get irritated. He smiled and told me he would do that, he remembers the other people in the park I have gotten irritated with and how they were treated.
