It looks like surgery on the morning of Dec. 18th at 7:30 am. It should still be outpatient. The surgery is a half hour to an hour long. I'm to take 2 weeks off of work, though if I feel better I can return after a week. They'll love me at work... no holiday working for me. :eek:

*hugs for Red* I was supposed to have a laparoscopy done to check for endometriosis, two weeks isn't a bad recovery time actually. But don't push yourself, if your body tells you that you need more then listen to it but take all that you are given. I'll be thinking of you on the 18th and sending good vibes your way. :heart::kiss::rose:

Thank you. :kiss::rose: Nah, I won't push myself. I just want to come out of there without any INFECTION!! lol. He (the surgeon) said I'll get an antibiotic before surgery so that'll be helpful. I don't want or need a repeat of May's surgery issues.

Just make sure to do exactly as the doctor orders, it's important with these kinds of things and if you are unsure about something make sure to ask cause sometimes they don't always remember to say something...

*nods* I know and then they tell ya stuff just after you are out of recovery. lol. So you end up forgetting.

This is my tenth surgery since 1994 when I had my first C-section.

Wow, that's a lot of surgeries. I've only had two in my life, one to remove all of my wisdom teeth and the other to break and reset my legs.

As far as being outpatient goes be honest with them and don't let them tell you that you are ready to go home if you feel you aren't, because some times the outpatient surgeries can end up being a night in the hospital. Not trying to scare you just letting you know to not let them push you either.

I have a "cheat sheet" for when I go to the ERs. It lists all my surgeries and my vitamins.

1 C-section in 1994
1 C-section and tubal ligation in 1999
1 Surgery to remove all four wisdom teeth at one time in 2004 (?)
1 Removal of a cyst in 2006
1 Gastric bypass in 2006
1 Removal of cyst, ovary and fallopian tube in 2007
1 Reopening of incision and cleaning of infection in 2007
1 Replacement of abdomen wall (fashia lining (spelling) ) in 2007
1 Removal of damaged tissue in 2007

I think that is all. :eek:

None of those could have been easy, you're a strong woman and I know you'll make it through this with flying colors! *hugs*
 
*huggles and love* So just remember to have the doc write down all of the things you're supposed to remember ;)
