What does the tart cherry extract do?

Also - horny goatweed. Um. Does it, uh - work? Do men seriously need extra shit to make them horny? Because from my perspective, this sounds like a possible disaster waiting to happen !:D

Tart Cherry extract is a treatment for gout. The Tart Cherry keeps it at bay.

Horny Goat Weed isn't really to enhance the libido and I agree it would be a disaster if it was for that. I have plenty of drive, but sometimes as we get older the equipment doesn't want to coordinate with the drive. Horny Goat Weed has some of the same chemical ingredients that Viagra does. Capeesh?

Ahhhh...okay. I see. I wonder what happens if women take it?

Just Vitamin C and D when COVID started.

Still wound up getting COVID, and the first vaccine shot.

Now I take them to get my money's worth out of those big Costco bottles.

Just a multi-vitamin and most of that is wasted if you look into the Science behind vitamins.

Good food and variety of food are superior to vitamins.

I only take them because I don't always eat right.

When I took a B complex formula, it made my pee bright highlighter yellow! Like, glow in the dark yellow. It was a shock!

Apparently, B does that.

If I were a man, I would take a ton of B supplements and go pee in the snow, fancy, neon yellow patterns and freak people out. :D

It does, bright neon yellow. The novelty wears off after the 1st pee.

Calcium and vitamin D. Probiotic. Iron. Magnesium effervescent sometimes. Multivitamin. Wild Krill oil.

I eat a lot of fruit and green leafy vegetables and I exercise every day. Supplements are just that.

Double the D3 and Zinc. Good immunity (Covid) protection
Fish Oil
Multi Vitamin
Whey Protein. Workout recovery.

Do you take any? If so, what and why? Anything you feel is like, your holy grail?

I started taking turmeric about six months ago. It's supposed to help with inflammation. I'm not sure if it's done anything or not. I'm probably going to quit when I finish this bottle.

What HAS helped me is taking a probiotic. Whoa, Nelly! I have never been super regular before, but since starting this probiotic, literally, holy shit. LOL! 🤣

I also have a multi vitamin, although not every day. Maybe every other day.

Wellness nuts, inform me.

From what I've read, turmeric is good for a lot of things. Ayurvedic medicine has been using it for thousands of years.
You should take Turmeric along with fish/krill oil. It helps your body absorb it better.
My daily supplement/vitamin list is:
Vitamin C (3000- 4000 mg/day)
Vitamin D3
B Complex
CoQ10
Turmeric
Fish Oil
Magnesium
I get my probiotics from homemade yogurt and homemade sauerkraut.
I also eat a shit-load of fruits and vegetables.

I take a liquid D3 - 7ish drops a day. Could never get my vitamin D up high enough on the pill form. I started taking this and it went from <30 to 86 according to my last blood work. No more winter sadness.

And I take a daily pre natal jawn from Ritual, cause I would forget to buy vitamins all together if they weren't delivered to my door once a month.

i just take a multivitamin and fish oil. if i want probiotics i just eat yogurt and what not.

I take the usual "old man" assortment:

  • Centrum Silver one-a-day multivitamin
  • Vitamin D-3
  • Ubiquinol (the "good" kind of Co-Q10 for folks over 40, not the cheaper Ubiquinone)
  • Omega-3 Fish oil

Since I had my stomach reduced nine years ago, I've had to get Vitamin B12 shots once every three weeks. (It was worth it!)

I take D, Zinc, a multivitamin, and Airborne which is basically just lots of C. Bought some cannabis gummies, because we can here now. Haven't tried that "supplement" yet.

Good food, proper diet, these are the supplement you need.
(If you cannot afford this, then you certainly cannot afford supplements.
If you choose not to eat properly, then supplements aren't going to make you healthy.
)

Everything else is just a fool and their money going separate ways.

 While I agree that most supplements are a waste, some are needed for health reasons or for what people are experiencing at the time. I certainly wasn't able to do shit for my D levels without either spending hours under a special light or taking the drops. I'd rather spend the seconds it takes doing that.

Dr. AJ knows best, dontchaknow?
He's well schooled at everything.

And by everything I mean nothing

I'll clutch, you shift?

On topic though I should probably begin some kind of regimen. Maybe? ... I dunno? I don't eat great, but I eat relatively great. I don't eat fast food and I don't often eat commercially prepared food. I eat muhfuggan groceries, and staples at that. But I'm also a creature of food habit and I eat more or less the same things over and over, then mix it up with something a bit more grand here and there. I've discovered I enjoy kombucha. Does it boost my health noticeably? Not that I can tell. But having one in the evenings vs a whiskey is probably better for my long term health, if a blow to my myth.

I read somewhere that the USA has the healthiest urine in the world.

For years and years I took lots of vitamins and supplements. But being a documentary addict, I've come to believe its so much snake oil. I've been supplement free for about a year now!

One day at a time.
