I saw a commercial for that Fringe show and first thing I thought was "Did they remake The X-Files?" Maybe it's not really like that but the spot sure made it seem so.

Fringe is very good. It's kind of like the X-Files, but better, and with a more continuous storyline.

I think it's better, and I love X-Files. Some of those were corny, and Fringe rarely has that problem. After Mulder was "taken", X-Files became unwatchable.

I agree it was garbage after that but the first 4 or 5 seasons are bliss.
I may give Fringe a shot. I think it's on Netflix. The commercials looked fun.

They are really good.

You'll like it. I'm not gonna guarantee that you'll like it as much as X-Files, but you'll definitely like it. John Noble (he played Denethor in LOTR) is the highlight of the series.
