Superbowl halftime

Paul McCartney was supposed to open the Mercedes-Benz Stadium last year, but it wasn't finished yet. When it finally opened, Garth Brooks got to play the first concert, and it sounded terrible.

Now that they've improved the sound system, they should invite Paul for the Superbowl.

The Stones tanked their Superbowl XL show back in 2006. They wanted to introduce "Rough Justice" and nobody cared. You can see Mick Jagger visibily pissed off that people were heading to the concession stands. Superbowl audience are not the Stones core demographic, and they definitely seemed out of their comfort zone.

That would be entertaining.
I disagree with you. The Stones would rock. Maybe a bad year? The Who was great a few years back.
I think fans would want a rockin show, instead of Pop crap.

Paul would be good.

Baby Metal and/or Band Maid. Would give the dumb ass deplorables another reason to bitch about women. Successful women.

It's in Atlanta, right? If they did an Outkast reunion it would be the first time I tuned in.

The Who is pretty consistently considered one of the worst halftime shows. McCartney has done it already. A medley of Beatles songs only goes so far.

Who needs one.

They can make it a standard half time which means people on the east coast can get to bed earlier, for work on Monday

Wisdom!

Cancel the show. Cut the number of commercials by the amount of money saved by not paying for the show. Talk about the game for a few minutes and get back to football.

Have you people heard McCartney sing recently? Last live bit I saw he was fucking awful.

Yes I have and yes he was.

Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills and Nash was being interviewed once and remarked on how he was amazed that Macca was the only singer he knew that never did any "vocal warmups" pre-show. He said if you notice, Paul's voice REALLY sounds rough his first 2-3 songs. I watched some concert footage from way back circa 2002 and he was right.

Southern, Grambling, the Trojans and Ohio State marching bands should take the field and have a big battle of the bands.

You claim not to be Vetty but you sure share the same sphincter-centric mindset.

Hey, like me, when he found himself looking at an asshole he probably had a hard time trying to tell himself his eyes were lying.
