I'm watching my g/f get fake hair braided into her head. For some reason I thought it would be really super interesting. And it was. For the first 15 minutes. Then it was just... repeat. We've been here for over an hour. So I just came back out and sat in the lobby because I had regressed to "are we done yet?" "are we done yet?"

When I come upon your crochet thread I always think of Qiviut. The soft wool from a musk ox. I've seen some crochet work from natives displayed at the airport that is just beautiful. The yarn looks so delicate and extremely soft.

When I was like...15 or 16 me and this girl I went to school with got these shitty teenage jobs at Food City and we had to watch this introductory video about the company. And we learned that it USED to be Piggly Wiggly's, and they changed the name, and we both got vehemently pissed. Like, far more pissed than either of us had a right to be. Because Piggly Wiggly is a much cooler name than Food City, easily 10x as cool. Also, we would have had pigs on our vest things. Why the fuck would a company change their name to something worse? That anger lasted for our entire training session. Looking back I don't know why I got super pissed about that. I think I fed off her anger.
