Probably, although you could probably get away with it at the Walmart near me...

My personal favorite way of staying warm is making a nest of blankets and pillows on the floor by a fire or a tv, and snuggling up with a nice warm man. But maybe you wouldn't like that as much?

lots of layers. long underwear is amazing, especially long underwear bottoms because they prevent the wind from cutting through your pants.
a long scarf that you can wrap around your face. a hat, definitely. you won't understand how much warmer a good winter hat makes you until you get one.

i drape my clothes over the heater while i'm in the shower so i go from a warm shower to warm clothes.

My job requires me to be outside for 8 hours a day and whats written above is damn good advice, I'd only add that two pairs of socks are a damn good idea and good gloves are worth their weight in gold.

Oh and so are thermal insoles in your boots, "Thinsulate" wooly hats are best unless you don't mind those hats with the ear flaps.

A good rule of thumb is if you can see your breath in the air then you should have on your hat and gloves.
