Suggestions for a good beach read

Does anyone have any good books they can recommend for a beach vacation? Looking for suggestions for a light, quick read. I don't want anything that will make have to use my noggin.

Anything by Cecelia Ahern is great light reading, she is an Irish writer. Love her style.
I just read Mindy Kaling's book, super amusing and a light read.

I wonder if you'd like the Doomsday Book by Connie Willis. I'm re-reading that right now too. It has the time-travel element, is fast paced, good dialog, but descriptive with well-developed characters and faithfulness to the historical era being described. It won a couple of awards.
