Succubus Queen OOC/Casting call

Veroe I got your pm on how Andaric could escape with the help of Keith as i said in my pm to you i'll think of a post for him. I might do where he starts off in the dungeons and is transported to the buffet line.

We'll have to careful with the timing, Knight, waiting until the next day (in Storytime), and before the Succubus Queen arrives for her meal, she'll be the one to stop us, so we shouldn't dawdle. But it's a good idea.

Someone has to get to where the caravan is first. Farine and Morab could get to it, but they'd have to really book it to do so.

I had expected the slaving expedition to the elf lands to take place a little later than this, but hey Sijustin wanted to do it now, so we'll just adapt.

Then again I just got an idea on who could attack the caravan, the Amazon women I mentioned a while ago, prepare for that oppurtunity, Sijustin, Tenko.

about how quick would the pegion get back to the castle would it be after the fight or slightly before it.

If you're thinking of sending Knight out there its not a bad idea, only thing is she's in the palace not Castle Cairn. they're in two different castles seperated by alot of geography, Knight.

But it was a good idea I wish I could revise that bit in my post now-oh well we'll make do with what we have.

I was going to kill the pigeon. Anyone mind that? Also the acolyte. Then disappear. Possibly with the elf.

If no one minds that.

I don't mind. I was going to play Acolyte Sula next but since you've targeted her I'll stick with Orlick. and go ahead and kill the pigeon since Knight's too far away to play calvalry for the slaving caravan.
I'm curious though what do you plan to do with the other slaves, the thirty Amazons and the handful of elves, Tenko?

And Knight, Devilsname has provided us with a good oppurtunity for Andaric and Keith to escape earlier than I expected. I'll post as Kaplan saying that the buffet line we'll be brought up at once. Then you post as Keith and do the scuffle. Then I'll post as Andaric for the first steps of the escape attempt. Of course the fact that Queen sheena will be heading to the banquet hall means we'll be under a ticking clock as we do it.

Should be lots of fun.

Oh. Can you play a different one?

As for amazons and elves, I planned on letting them mill about and cover my escape. I had no intention of freeing them at all.

Savages every one. And I left my informational pamphlets in my other cloak.

But it should be a marvelous challenge to try and murder Sula without orlick noicing. I was hoping to draw her off, and kill her on the run, if that's fine with you.

Killing her without Orlick or any of his men noticing. That would be challenging, Tenko.

An idea: Could you kill her just as she was finishing her spell. So say it's a spell of lightning without her to control it will just zap whatever is in front of her, say Orlick, which could add a great deal to the level of chaos and confusion to cover your next moves.

Do what you wish with the slaves, I was just curious.

Okay I'll get a post up shortly

Devilsname the ball's in your court in regards to Brannath. The next post (if not yours then mine) a gaurd will come and alert you to the escape of the buffet line. That way you can come in and give some suspense to Keith and Andaric's escape attempt. You can have some fun with brannath first (of course if you want), but you can always resume with him later.

yeah...sorry, as my sig says I've just been feeling really lacidasical, I'll get around to it sometime tonight or tomorrow, and I want to eat so I'll be making a beeline for that buffet :D

Hi... can I apply for the role of the Succubus Queen's bodyguard? Do I have to make him within any kind of limits, or can I make him exactly as I want to?

You may want to either pm your character to veroe or post him here and see what happens

Make him as you want, and post a bio here. The lot of us will discuss the character's merits and limitations. You may have to adjust some things (see the further limitations we decided on Knight's characters and the Succubus Queen powers-fortunately I think it made in both cases fuller better characters there).

I'm running a loose ship here and encouraging creativity with people's characters and the direction the story goes.

However if you feel you need a bit more structure when making the caharacter here's what I had in mind for the bodyguard: He was a powerful demon of some import down in hell who would be above Succubi in the complicated pecking order of demons down there. He found a crack in the barrier between hell and earth and posessed a human's soul. He then went on a mission to create havok and despair among the nations of the world.

Your level of power is fixed only here in the mortal world she's getting a steady diet of souls making her stronger and more powerful than you, and you have to be careful with your powers not to cause the death of the man/woman you're posessing or you'll be like an asteroid too close to a blackhole without an anchor like she has and you'll fall straight back to hell.

Essentially in regards to the demon bodygaurd's relationship with the Succubus Queen he'll either be like Soundwave to Megatron-loyal servant-or Starscream to Megatron-schemer trying to take over (your choice which) from Transformers.

That's not set in stone if I wanted you all to be exactly as I imagined these roles to be, I would just write a story for Literotica instead of making it a SRP. I'm encouraging creativity here so you don't have to use any of that or go one step further than I did like Katamari-Roller did with the Knight of Caramore role.

Okay, here's my application:

Name
: Ivan Kannen / Graz'Nat Arxham (”xh” is pronounced with a voiceless velar fricative)

Age: 21/785

Height: 6’6’’

Weight: 210lbs

Appearance
: The body of Ivan Kannen has been modified heavily by its possession by the demon Graz'Nat Arxham not many years ago. Tall, lean, and muscular, it has veiny, reddish-brown skin. The muscles always seem to twitch and ripple slightly as the trapped, unconscious mind of Ivan struggles in vain with the dominant demon. The face is long, with strangely orange-brown eyes, short, jet-black hair, and the unique seal of the demonic House Arxham branded in its forehead, making sure that even if the body is left for some time, it remains the eternal property of said House and cannot be possessed by any other demon. On each side of the head are thin, smooth, black horns that stick up from under the hair.

The demon has clad its possessed body in a special suit of armour, crafted from dark steel plates with yellowish ivory spikes, and the skin of lesser demons, hardened through dark and evil methods. The armour is thin in most places, only truly thick at the shoulder, chest, and abdomen. The arms are bare, save for plates strapped to the forearms. On its hands, the demon wears magical, golden rings of protection, strength, and wisdom. In battle, he primarily wields a large claymore; these are the only weapons he have and he totally doesn't have and has never had any javelins or daggers. Ever.

In his actual, demonic form, Graz'Nat is much more fearsome than his possessed body could ever be; seven feet and ten inches tall, with huge muscles, horns, and cloven hooves, the sight of him alone could be enough to demoralise an army. He is, however, reluctant to leave his possessed body, due to the difficulty in re-obtaining it, and knowledge of the mortal world that would be lost to him without being able to tap into Ivan's mind.

Character Description: Graz'Nat Arxham of House Arxham, vassal of Great House El-Kzol'tan is an aristocratic demon of some renown in Hell. Having had dealings with Succubi in the past, he first met Sheena Velinaari about two centuries ago, when he was looking for agents to aid House Arxham against another demonic House. While he was not able to convince Sheena to join him, he did, however, sense great potential in her, much greater than that of almost any Succubus he had ever met. He made servants spy on her and observe her achievements, and knew all about Andaric Tekkarres' failed attempt to summon her. When he found that she had travelled to the world of humans, his spy had mistakenly said that she would possess a human body, and thus Graz'Nat did exactly the same.

Ivan Kannen was the son of a powerful wizard, who summoned Graz'Nat in order to have a rival killed; however, the energy required to completely bind such a powerful demon would likely kill the old man, who instead opted to cast a spell that would let him bargain with the evil creature. Graz'Nat would usually have killed the wizard and everyone in his family for this insolence; however, scanning the old man's mind, he found that he had a young son who would be ideal for possession. He also knew, however, that the man would rather suffer in Hell than willingly let him possess his beloved son, and thus, he struck the following deal with the wizard: He would kill the wizard's rival for him, in exchange for sexual favours from his son. After much deliberation, the wizard discussed with his son, who knew all about his rivalry with the other wizard, as well as how careful one had to be when dealing with demons. After days of considering, Graz'Nat's demands were finally met, and he planted his demonic seed, along with a part of his essence, inside Ivan. Not long after, he managed to strengthen his bond to the young man, taking greater and greater power over him until finally being able to possess him; the first thing he did after this was kill the wizard who had first summoned him, forcing him to spend eternity in Hell with his hated rival.

Careful not to make his possessed body too much, he searched through Ivan's mind, finding out the current state of the world. Apparently, at this point, a woman rumoured to be a demon had married the heir to the throne of Asaria; surely this could be no-one but Sheena, whom he had observed for so long. He made a plan to meet her; he simply got himself caught killing the horse of one of the King's knights, and was promptly thrown into the castle dungeons. There, once he was locked up, he transformed his body to the demonic tool it is today; he pulled the bars of his cell with his bare hands, and proceeded to kill his guard by tearing him limb from limb. The commotion attracted a large amount of guards, whom he killed in an equally gruesome manner, and when finally the second group of royal guards arrived, and saw the demon-possessed being, naked and covered in blood, they surrendered. After slaking his rage on one of the guards, killing him by tearing his jaw off, Graz'Nat made his demand: to see the wife of the heir apparent.

His demand was met, but Graz'Nat was shocked to find he had been misinformed; Sheena Velinaari was not in any possessed form, but her original form, making her more powerful than him at the time they met; disguising his shock, he immediately knelt to her and swore allegiance to her in the demonic tongue, and then claimed the four guards still down in the dungeons were his sacrifice to her as proof of his loyalty. It is unknown whether Sheena believed him or not, but as soon as she was Queen of Asaria (the next day, incidentally), Graz'Nat was made her bodyguard. Now, he follows her on her tour of conquest.

His personality is an enigma to those around him; he is, apparently, entirely loyal to his “mistress” Sheena Velinaari, but he will also often talk of his House's privileges and what they're entitled to, in vague terms. In reality, he is conflicted; he both feels impressed with the progress Sheena has made in such a short timespan, and thus he is not embarrassed to be beneath her in the human world. However, he also feels that his House deserves more power than it currently has, and constantly considers schemes to Sheena's downfall; he has yet to decide on one, though.
Occasionally, Ivan's mind breaks through, and this manifests itself in the body collapsing, and Ivan screaming in terror, begging his surroundings for help; in longer lapses, Ivan is sometimes able to collect himself and speak about the terrors of being possessed by a demon to whoever dares listen; though such people are rare.

Graz'Nat, in his possessed body, does not have many powers other than his supernatural physical abilities, granting him superhuman strength and speed; he can leap several yards, and tear a person's fingers off with little to no effort. In battle, he can work himself into a rage, a frenzy that can only be stopped when he has killed or destroyed enough. It is a double-edged sword; if his enemies are too few, he may risk killing members of his own side to stop his frenzy.

And Katamari's, she is pretty good at "rigged" spotting, even more so than myself or veroe. It looks good to me, but considering the post I just put up, maybe I'm too rigged still >.<

To explain it, she used a great deal of power, much more than a normal succubi would use to stay on Earth for a week, that includes any soul-sucking and spells they might use in that time. She used the pure energy of the soul she corrupted and sent to hell to power that punch. If it's still rigged, I can increase the soul count, but I can't really think of a way to do her post otherwise...sorry :(

Two questions, Altam, where and when did he get the armor?

I have an idea to suggest to you on that: that when one of the Accolytes have pissed Sheena off she's had them summon one of those lesser demons as a gift for you and a punishment for them. whereas you've killed and skinned it to make your armor, and the poor ole Accolyte gets killed too maybe eaten as well.

Second question, Does he really need those magic rings? He seems powerful enough without them?

Just answer those small little questions and you can post in the IC.

As for rigged spotting I'm more inclined to trust you to keep it fun and fair to everyone else's characters. So, just go with your instincts then we can edit, adjust, or retcon any slip ups there.

Someone once told me a contradiction only exists if you can't ignore it, LOL!

Hey Katamari, I have an idea about bringing in the forces of the Holy Kingdom of Farule as Morab and Farine try to travel through Caramore to Asaria. Essentially they'll be in between both the Farule army and the Asarians as the war heightens there. What do you think?

I like your idea for the armour, I had obviously thought it would have some connection to Hell. And the rings were mostly for flavour; I also figured his arms might need protection, and that this could come from the rings. But we could also just make them regular House relics of some ceremonial value.

EDIT: Oh, by the way, where would Graz'Nat be right now?

I like the house relics idea for the rings, they seem to fit the guy more than the magic rings to make an already strong guy stronger.

Katamari is much better at spotting riggedness-mostly because she and Tenko and Sijustin's character are the only ones active for the side of good and of those three Tenko's assasin is the only one with any hope of taking yourself or Sheena down.

And as a note for your information: the magic dagger Stiehl has won't kill Sheena, it will hurt her quite alot, but not kill her. But it will kill Graznat and free Ivan.

And Gadget Girl do you have any ideas on where you want your character to go?

It´s rather late now, so I´m not in any condition to check overpoweredness. Give me some hours to sleep and I´ll get on that.

About the Farule/Asaria war, I don´t know... I guess it is perfectly possible that Farine and Morab could find themselves advancing towards an advancing army with an advancing army behind them. Then they would have to slip through, I guess. In any case, Farine is not going to wait for the Farule army to attack. The princess is way too important to wait, or trust her health to an invading army.

+Edit: Ok, forget that, I actually got to read through Altam´s character. This is my opinion: He is overpowered, and lacks a little style.

Overpowered because, again, he is basically a "perfect berserker". Whenever he is losing, he can just go berserker and kill everyone around him. He can´t be defeated, and the consequences of him going into berserker mode are laughable (he will kill people in his own side? Is that really a flaw for one of the Bad Guys? If this were a Terry Pratchet roleplay in which bad guys realized that this was inconvenient, that might work, but I´m afraid this is not one of those roleplays). He has no weaknesses. The Elf, the Knight and the Assassin can´t do jack against him. And to be honest, we are already facing a Succubus who can sweep the floor with our asses.

And she is a Succubus. A demon specialized in manipulation, not combat. Yet she still can kill us all face to face.

Can we PLEASE have bad guys that we can actually kill?

The instant Farine is defeated by an overpowered demonic asshole to become rape fodder is the instant I bail out of the thread.

About lacking style, what I mean is that he is too powerful to need all those weapons on him. Farine has on her a long sword, a short sword, a crossbow and a dagger. But she has all of this because she is a human, with human weapons that can break or slip out of her hands. It is practical and fashionable for her to carry all these weapons on herself, and on her horse. Altam´s character, though, being a demi-demon (is that how you say it?) does not need to have all those weapons on himself. Why does he need daggers when he can rip people´s jaws off with his own bare hands? I guess the claymore makes sense, but why does he need daggers hidden all over his body? And how do you hide daggers, anyway? They need sheaths and they have a certain length, even the tallest man possible with the thickest armour would have difficulties hiding daggers on himself.

And good luck moving around with those dagger sheaths jammed in uncomfortable places.

Also, maybe it is because it is 2:30 AM here, but it seems to me that his physical characteristics are not too clear. But I guess that´s because I´m used to demons being described "and he has a [insert animal] head instead of a human head". When I read it tomorrow I´m sure it will make sense, but the description of his armour seems a bit complicated. Just saying.

Fair point. I have to admit, I wrote the description a bit quickly; as for the "berserk" power, I was thinking that once he was done with it he'd be very weakened (Think barbarian rage in D&D; lots of lost hit points once the Constitution bonus wears out). It's already been stated that Stiehl's dagger will kill him in a single stab (if not, it has been now), and as for the others, he is vulnerable to human weapons - his "super strength", so to speak, is only a big problem once he gets close, and a reasonably powerful/experienced character should be able to keep him at a distance.

About lacking style, what I mean is that he is too powerful to need all those weapons on him. Farine has on her a long sword, a short sword, a crossbow and a dagger. Again, I have to be honest; the daggers were me struggling at 6am to think of something more to write. But I'll stick with the claymore, and the longsword, since even a demon can drop his weapon or be disarmed or whatnot.

Also, maybe it is because it is 2:30 AM here, but it seems to me that his physical characteristics are not too clear. Well, since he's not in demon form (apart from the little bit about his true form, in which I was vague before I doubt it'll be relevant except maybe as the very last resort; leaving the possessed body fully takes hours and he would only do it to escape), he's basically a human being with some demonic traits, so it's perhaps best to read it as a description of a human(oid) rather than a demon.
