Procrastrination, general laziness, the Spanish summer heat and the fucking all-day, whole-week neighbourhood festival with Spanish redneck music from thirty years ago that gives me headaches, in case you want to know.
(For the young people, they play the themes to the A-Team, Knight Rider, the Pink Panther, Rocky Balboa, and the like...).
If you guys can quickly summarise what I need to post about, maybe I can get something written later today (1:25 AM now... the music won´t stop until 2:00 AM or so... God, I hate these days).
well to summarize Keith and Andaric escaped from the palace and were pursued by Knight and Brannath and Tannath. There was a fight where Keith killed Tannath and made Brannath have a serious vendetta to avenge his sister's death by killing Keith.
Only Queen Sheena made a deal with Andaric to trade Keith and the other escapees' lives in exchange for his coming back as her captive. So she stopped Brannath from killing Keith and now Keith is gathering people willing to help him rescue Andaric and a farmwife that helped him on the way.
Our plans so far is that Sheena is going to manipulate Brannath to go after Keith just to spite Andaric. Farine and Morab will have made it to the same village Keith is in, where you may meet him. Then Brannath and Knight will then find them there'll be an epic fight and Brannath will have Keith on the ropes until your character comes in and saves the day by killing Brannath.
Sounds perfect. But, how strong is Brannath? I don´t think Farine would kill anyone if he can be captured, so I assume Brannath is fairly powerful either as a swordsman, or as a mage?
Brannath is extremely powerful, nearly as strong as keith if I am gauging them correctly. The thing is, even if he was harmless he could never be captured, because he would fight to the death anyway...again unless I'm misjudging his character.
And there's a personal reason for Farine to kill Brannath, he was the Accolyte that caused the citadel in Caramore to fall ontop of her and Caramore's defeat there and Haylin's capture.
And as far as how dangerous he is...he'd be very dangerous as their captive...even lethal to you guys if they give him the chance.
I say kill him unless someone can think of a compelling storyline to use him in.
If you're concerned about facing off against him, my idea is for Keith and Brannath to have the big showdown, Keith be overpowered by Brannath, Brannath tries to kill him by slow torture, but Farine sneaks up behind him and thrusts her sword through his back and kills him before he even notices she's there.
The only one who should be concerned is Knight, and I've already said that when it comes to the fight between them Keith'll survive and Brannath won't, not that I'll make it easy on him of course. but I really don't have any ego about it. I just want a showdown and sudden reversal that dramatically impacts the overall story as well as tie up the little vendetta between Brannath and Keith. As well as brings two of the good guys together as allies.
Oh and I really don't believe in the invinciblity of powerfull characters, I fully expect Keith to bloody Brannath in their fight despite him being able to literally kill Keith by uttering a few words. Why? Because Brannath won't want to just kill him. He'll want to hurt him slow and excruciatingly which will eliminate most of those really powerful spells he knows anyway from his repertoire.
Oh a good example of the fight I'm looking for is in the movie Serenity where the bad guy, the Operative, clearly outmatches the hero, Malcolm Rennolds in their fights but somehow at the last minute Mal pulls through a victory on the more skilled Operative.
Heheh... yeah. I don´t remember that scene, but it seems smart-assed main characters tend to be able to pull off the good, old dirty trick excellently. Like Han Solo. Or any other scoundrelly character.
I´ll be ready to post later today (1:56 AM right now, gotta catch some sleep).
Great I'll shoot a PM to Gadget Girl and see if she can't find the time to post soon so Devilsname will be free to manipulate Brannath and torment Andaric.
Knight you threw me with that drinking contest. I wasn't expecting that. I don't know what Astra will do now. Though I'm thinking of having her slip something in your drinks, don't know what though.
I will be waiting for my chance to strike, then (this is not an indirect request for you to hurry up, mind you, go at your own pace and PM me when you want me to come in, or post in the OOC).
As for the tail, Sheena's a shapeshifter so you could get rid of it if you want and install the tail of your choosing or conceivably change her appearance altogether. The character's yours now.
If you have any questions about us or our characters or how they've interacted with yours please ask.
Oh please, don't let my post count or join date fool you...I've been reading this thread from the beginning. I liked most of what Devils did besides my earlier mention so I won't change much around. Just waiting on that post from gadget.
Great, I was a long time lurker first time poster myself when starting this thread.
As for GG, I've shot a PM to her but she's currently dealing with RL stuff (that's the way it is sometimes), but if she doesn't post soon I may have to offer her character like I had to with Sheena to anyone else that's interested just to get the thread going again.
