Looking into posting on face book, but I'm looking for tips that will make the gals gie me a second look. I mean I know all about the honesty, be clear about expectations and discretion if necessary. I'm looking for one liners that may be out of the ordinary but flirty and catchy...any help is appreciated.

In part, it depends on what type(s) of person and relationship you're looking for.

In most cases, I think your best bet is to show a genuine interest, try to engage in actual conversation and make sure your own profile/ad is really well written (content, spelling, grammar, etc.). I'd also suggest taking a look at your competition, profiles/ads that stand out from the pack and the types of comments that seem to get responses. Don't copy them, of course, but see what techniques might fit for you and how you could apply them to your communication in your own ways.

A perfect example of the most overused type of one-liner on social networking sites and Personals and AmPics here. :)

Jack, it seems like you might be trying to up your post count quickly. If that's the case, you may want to check out The Playground.

A guy I know on the BDSM forum put this up on a personals site:

Stunningly handsome man with a very sensitive heart condition, recently inherited a large estate and several million dollars seeks nice, honest, cute submissive girl who is not shallow or seeking wealth for marriage with no pre-nup.

I'd like to try skydiving but don't know how to pack my own parachute but I'm very trusting and would let you do that for me.

I'm also looking forward to going bear hunting but in the manliest of ways.... wearing only a loincloth with a wooden club.

I would not hold it against you if you own your own micro-brewery.

See it may be ridiculous, but it's also catchy and kinda cool. I think so anyway.

Favorite line in describing himself that I ever read on a man's profile :
I'm a gentleman. Be informed though that I'm a bit less gentle and a lot more man than some may be accustomed to.

I took that line. I swapped in around to read: I'm not looking for the average guy. I prefer a man who is a bit less gentle and a lot more man than some may be accustomed to. Posted it on my profile and the reply (from my now Husband) was received in short time.

I knew what I wanted. I stuck to that and kept it positive (meaning I do not post negative crap, IE: rant regarding a huge list of things I don't want etc) and simple.
