Putting this here since I don't know where else to put it and a forum search didn't turn up anything.

I've rewritten one of my stories due to not being happy with how it turned out and I'm not sure how to go about changing it. To be clear this was a pretty substantial rewrite. I'd say around eighty percent of the text is different from the original version even though the overall story is the same. Also I want to modify the title. I'm not sure if I should should submit the rewrite as an edit, or delete and repost. Does anyone have any clue how I should go about this?

Delete and repost.

Editing an existing story is reserved for minor changes that are, well, editorial in nature, like fixing typos or minor rewording.

If you change the content substantially, you should submit a new story. If you want to change the title, you must submit it as a new story.

Titles can be changed. I've done it.

Links to a story called Orchid Ch. 00. The underlying address doesn't change, but the displayed title can change.

Pretty sure I delineated the title change in the "Notes to the Admin" section of the submitted edit.

I don't disagree with @TheLobster that you *should* change the title for a story that is so different from its previous version.

Yes, if you do it this way, then the change will be incomplete. The only way to do it properly is to delete the story and submit it anew.
