Submitted second story and I can't make changes while it's pending. Normal?

I submitted my first story maybe a month ago. I was actually surprised how quickly it was approved and submitted. Awesome!

About a week ago I submitted my second piece (chapter 2) and expected the same relatively short delay. There have been zero views, unlike my first story that had several before it was actually accepted within a day of submission.

I see in the FAQ it says that once changes are made to a pending submission, that submission goes back to the bottom of the list. Of course I made some changes before reading the FAQ regarding this, but that's not really my concern. I totally get that.

I no longer have access to my pending submission to make changes, and the views are still at zero since I made my first changes several days ago. Is this normal? Was my first submission just lucky? Really I understand that approval should take quite a long time, since the sheer volume of submissions must be huge, but it's the lack of access to my submission that irks me.

Also, thanks to everyone who gave me props for my first story. Chapter 2 is in the pipe (I think?) and chapter 3 is under way.

If you edited the story

after submitting it, yes that puts it at the back of the line again.

Pay no attention to the views while under pending. They are bogus! It is a computer glitch or so I've been told.

how long a story takes to post depends on how busy they are at the time. Hang in there. I've had stories take a week to post.
