Well, here's the thing. I used to swear up and down that I was a submissive, but I think that was before I tried anything hands-on and had only what I'd read in novels and online to go by. For a while I thought I was a switch, and then after topping a few times in real life I'm beginning to really fear trying to submit to someone

I can't really explain it (perhaps due to the hour), but it's like I've grown so much into this newfound Dominant side thanks to the submissive that originally turned me on to topping, that I've started to think that if I were to be topped I'd lose whatever it was that I'd gained. Maybe some ego or pride, who knows.

So, I'm petrified to actually try being a submissive in person, despite that having an experienced Domme has and probably always will be my primary fantasy in life.. meh.

I've always that that was interesting. A lot of people are more dominant in their every day llives, and then totally submissive in their sex lives. That is more common than some people realize.

Two of the subs I have played with were both very dominant in their work. One was the owner of her own company and was an equal with male executives in a boardroom setting for years. But, some subs are very submissive in everything they do. And, they wouldn't have it any other way.

And, on the other side, dominants are very much the same way. There is no set partern someone can go by to know if someone is sexually one way or the other, just by the way they are in their everyday life. The sexual mind works in mysterious ways.

That's why I like things to be much more negotiable. I don't like the idea of stability or set at all. "Roll with the punches" is the idea. I like the roll as much as the punch. Not so much punch for the pain as it is the idea of the workout, the swing, the dodge, and if you get hit, hey, well, sometimes that happens.
