Thank you Etoile, there is an actual name--neat, but it does sound kinda military like. I guess I had envisioned a less threating hide and seek sort of game. In any case ones adrenalin would get a rush.

I suppose there are different levels of it, just like there are different levels of CBT. Turns out what Dark Odyssey offers is just kidnapping, which is like PTC, but obviously leaves out the pursuit. But looking for "pursuit takedown and capture" should get you a lot (I recommend adding "-mitnick" to your search, there was a book with a similar name about Kevin Mitnick.)

It's also called PTC - Pursuit, Takedown, and Capture. I have known some BDSM camps (like Dark Odyssey) who offer this, and I find the idea interesting, but I am probably much too easy a target.

It's also called "The Dark Hunt". I once had someone try to get me interested in participating in one of these that was being held in the Ozarks.

All of the replies and thoughts have been very enlighting. We actually used those power pump up squirt guns, not paintballs. The Dom needed to get close and there was no danger of injury since the sub was rather scantily clad--panties, or need of eye protection.

The game was timed, if the sub avoided capture then there was a reward. If the sub was captured, squirted (Freudian no doubt) then there was a price to pay.

Predator play is ridiculously arousing, and usually a lot of fun. I've never participated in any group versions, just one-on-one.

Whether you do this indoors or out, or some combination of the two, I recommend establishing clearly defined boundaries ahead of time. Even really big ones, like: this mountain.

If you're into the wilderness thing, I also recommend carrying whistles (or some newfangled technology, if it works), as a quick way to send the message: I'm in trouble, and here's where I am. It's really not farfetched to imagine that sprinting through the woods, pumped up on adrenaline, could result in sprained ankle or whatever.

The time that hikers stepped into my path in full vigilante mode, interrupting a full-speed, aggressive pursuit, my partner was way ahead in the woods. And I was getting nowhere with, "This isn't what you think." I could have tried to outrun them, but really wasn't excited about my description being relayed to local police. So I pulled out my whistle and said, "Blow this, and she'll come. As fast as she can make it, she'll be here. Ask her whatever you want, and we'll clear this right up."

Snowballs sounds like winter, burrrr... for me it's the idea of being nearly or totally naked outdoors-- perhaps ending up like that, not much fun in winter. Our farm is very private, and really no way to get lost or run into unwanted guests on the trails, and yes there is a stream. It freezes in the winter.

I've never participated in any group versions, just one-on-one. Yes, me too--which was part of my reason for starting this thread to hear about others experiences. I'm definitely going to check out the airsoft guns for the future. Especially ones that are not too hurtful.

Having been shot in the thigh and the bum to try out guns, whilst in jeans, it stings like a bugger if its close range. Been hit at mid-distance in full camo, bearly feel it. However, naked, even at range, is gonna hurt. Eye protection would be an essential.

All this predatory stuff sounds ridiculously hot. Unfortunately, in my current locale...black bears, grizzlies and cougars. Not quite as sexy when you're running with a bear bell, a bear bomb and looking over your shoulder to make sure you aren't being stalked by something furry.
