Is it possible to have more than four wisdom teeth?

Well my sister had 4 whole wisdom teeth pulled, and then there was a underdeveloped 5th one under another. I guess it basically like a tooth, but wouldnt erupt. It was called a tooth by the oral surgeon.
So es, it is possible.

:/

I don't suppose anyone wants to adopt a 24 year old daughter?

Does she put out?

Angel, I know that often times a tooth can get impacted/compacted. THus its possible that not all tooth fragments were removed. Im guessing you are concerned due to pain or some other unwanted sensation. If it persists you should try to see a dentist.

LOL, because my current job doesn't even offer medical benefits, and once I move, the place I'll work I won't be eligible for them until a certain period of time.

Or, I can save up Two grand.

I don't know if you can have more, but I know you can have less. My dentist claims that I am higher up on the evolutionary scale because I only have three!

I haven't had them removed yet. One grew in awhile ago, and was fine.

The others have been coming in for a short while with normal teeth cutting pain.

Today the one that had grown in already started hurting and I looked and it looks like something else is growing in behind it.

Plus, I also just noticed that the one on the top seems as if it's growing in diagonal.

I'd be at the damn dentist right now if I could afford it.

Oh yikes, then is considered a pre existing problem?
I mean has a dentist already recommended pulling them? If he/she has, there might be problems.

I haven't seen one yet. When I become insured, it'll still be covered, I've asked. My worry is that something will get fucked up in the meantime because I have to wait.

Sometimes wisdom teeth have an extra piece on them that looks like another tooth.

Have you discussed a payment plan with your dentist. Explain your situation and see if he can help you out. It might be a hefty down-payment but its better than paying $2,000 up front or living in pain.

I had five wisdom teeth. I've had 4 removed and now I have a whole new one. And it's a whole tooth, not just a piece. Thankfully it hasn't caused me any problems.

My mother is going to see how much it will cost her to add me to her insurance plan for a year so I can get it taken care of. It's got to be cheaper than me shelling out of pocket for the appointments and procedure, and I can just pay her back what they knock from her check.

Generally it's taken 4-6 months of working at a new job to qualify to enroll in their medical benefits program.

I'm not concerned about the pain. It may be annoying, but I can live with it. What I can't live with are the consequences of not having them removed when they need to be.

I have a phobia. I fear the dentist. I don't think I'm even able to speak to one. I'm making my b/f do it for me.

Not to mention he's getting his out before Thanksgiving, so I get to see how he feels afterwards.

Thanks for the answers. I've been putting this off way too long just because I'm insanely terrified of going.

My wisdom teeth are just sitting there, not making any dangerous moves. I had to have nine baby teeth pulled because they wouldn't come out on their own, so I think the wisdom teeth are scared about what will happen if they show their faces.

My right canine is still a baby tooth. A permanent tooth never formed to push it out.

I had the option to get it pulled and replaced with a fake, but the dentist said that as long as it's not rotting out or something equally as gross, I can keep it there.

Why the fuck spend that money if I don't have to? It would be a cosmetic procedure and wasn't covered by the insurance I had back then. So what the hell.

It's kinda stupid looking because my other canine is bigger, obviously but I don't give a shit.

edited because i messed up my dentalness

Oh yeah? Well, I have a diastema, which is a space between the incisors and the canines, a characteristic only found in apes.

I knew there was a reason I was so interested in primatology...
