Isn't normal?

Maybe not for some people.

Answering from a strictly, and I repeat, strictly either way end of course.

Normalcy is what we make of it. We make sure we're just enough outside of normal to get all the government benefits. Ahh...the good life. It's a little place I like to call, 'livin off da man. That's right. You too can live offa da man. Simply obtain a small bout of insanity, add a pinch of civil injustice, shake well with broken dreams, and Voila! You have a Hummer, free medications, a nice house, and 18 babies by 22 mommas. Yeah, you do the math on that one.

When I was a kid, I lived near a bunch of those old steel drawbridges that open in the middle when a ship passes below. Traffic would come to a halt, and I'd sit there thinking about what would happen if the bridge went up with a car on it, what if the car was partially or directly over the seam in the middle when it happened, the whole bit. Just idle thoughts.

In those idle thoughts, were you usually in said car? :D

Yes, but, see it was cool, cause it was a flying car that would turn into a boat in the water and we'd sail down the river into Lake Michigan and...

Jeanne: I had those thoughts too and I was always in the car in question. It was never dangerous in my daydreams though - just annoying, cause we were balanced right on the top of the bridge edge and they couldn't lower it without tipping us into the water. Inconvenient and an annoying waste of time really.

Did you parents ever let you out of the car to go to the rail and watch the boat go by? I always wanted to do that and they never let me.
