I've never had the impression that Aussies or Kiwis had a widespread problem with knowing that. I mean, we mostly know that Oz and New Zealand are different countries, up here...

The "cipher" thing was pretty funny though.

It's a good relationship, the US and Canada. To have a border where people are nice to you and have good food and excellent mountains and real glaciers. It's something I appreciate.

Speaking of which -- and of Stuff -- this guy's "Bizarre Borders" feature on Canada and the US is pretty awesome. I learned a couple new things from it.

Oh - that is right up my interesting trivia alley. I'll have to watch more from that guy.

My favorite podcast is Canadian - Caustic Soda. If you haven't checked it out, it is the BEST. I love these guys.

My favorite games are from Bioware, a Canadian company, which makes it fun because not the main characters but a lot of the support characters in their games are voiced by Canadian actors, and in Mass Effect the Earth's main metropolitan center is Vancouver.

So there are a lot of aliens that say "aboot" because they just...can't...help it.

One of the companions is definitely Canadian and he wants to make dinner with beef, beer and bacon - "The foods of my people."
