A new paper, "Differences in misinformation sharing can lead to politically asymmetric sanctions," published today in Nature suggests that the higher quantity of social media policy enforcement (such as account suspensions) for conservative users could be explained by the higher quantity of misinformation shared by those conservative users—and so does not constitute evidence of inherent biases in the policies from social media companies or in the definition of what constitutes misinformation.

Sounds right to me.

There’s this bizarre notion that everyone’s voice is valid and that silencing liars is somehow “elitist” because the truth will naturally prevail. But that’s wrong, because truth only prevails when there is an advantage to being truthful. A world that treats lies and truth equally is a world that implicitly rewards lies, since lies are easier and don’t require any effort to back up.

The correct choice is to destroy liars and hold their tongues to the fire. The lies will only stop when the liars’ tongues stop moving.

Saw a great video the other day, really ugly t-bone car accident. Poor lady got pried out of her crumpled up car, laying down on the ground with concerned bystanders waiting for the ambulance, she's bleeding everywhere. The guy she hit jumped out of his car, ran over to her, everyone thought he was going to inquire about her injuries, instead he gets two feet away from her and screams "YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY YOU STUPID BITCH!"

You can see just about every bystander there have their head jerk back and they all start blasting him verbally, telling him to leave her the hell alone.
