Stripper Songs

When I was dancing (to many years ago now) We used reel to reel and would have "loops" made. There was a guy in town who could do editing on a song he recorded on tape and make the song last 7 or 8 minutes. So for a set each dancer would only have 3 to 4 songs on a loop and it would last for the entire set. I used Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love" but done by a local band with a lot more "power" Closest thing now I can find is George Thorogood.

On the same loop I had this same group make "Steady Rollin Man" in the same "power" style blues beat and guitars. Again Thorogood is the closest I can find.

This was my opener and Who Do you Love was my closer. In between I had "Smokestack Lightning" and "Little Bitty Pretty One" all songs were instrumentals of courese. :) I loved dancing to this loop. It last 15 minutes and I worked it evey minute. Lord! I wish I had that energy again. :D LOL!

Mark Lanegan & Isobel Campbell's cover of Ramblin' Man always does it for me, it's just so nasty sounding, A bare-foot, sawdust floor, clothes sweat-wet and stuck to skin, a primal alcohol induced sin. I think it perfectly suits an amateur, slightly wrong, seductive strip.

I would post a link to the video but YouTube wants me to sign in and verify my age, pah!

Centerfold - J. Geils band

I'm in love with a stripper - T-pain ( I think )

Great thread. I used to spend a lot of time in strip clubs (1979-1989 or so) and so any song that was a hit back then can remind me of the hot ladies I used to ogle and masturbate to.

There was one song called "Hippy Chick" (I could be wrong about the title.) that was very popular with a few of my favorite dancers. I got a hard-on as soon as I heard the opening chords to that one. Haven't heard it in years. I should look it up.

There can only be one...

And that is the mighty 'Closer' by Nine Inch Nails. Pure sex on record.

It's been a few years but one dancer at a place I went would constantly play Wild, Wild West. Can't hear without thinking of her...and not in a good way.
