Stress Level 9.1 and rising

Take a Xanax and hope for the best. That was me yesterday, hon. If you need to vent, PM me.

Play hockey. Nothing gets the stress out like sweating it out on the ice for an hour each week.

Riding the bike or roller blading or tennis might have the same reaction. But you cant legally beat someone up riding a bike.

Gently ask my mom to watch my son and go drive. I may end up in Florida or where ever but during that time I unwind, smoke, drink copious amounts of vanilla coke or coffee and get things back a bit more in line.

Good luck in finding your peace.

take your 9.1 and subtract 2.2 act out the results and you have a lowered stress level ;)

Wow!

Some wonderful ideas here!

And some very funny ones!!!!!

How about calling in a contract on the asshole who owes me money?

Oh, there are three of them, the contracts could get costly?

:D

Maybe the chainsaw would be a better option ;)

Seriously, I have someone helping me learn to meditate. I never thought it was possible for me. I'm usually pretty stressed about something. It has helped though.

What I do most often is take a long hot bath, by candlelight and listen to my favorite music. Or, turn up the tunes full blast and sing my heart out while housecleaning naked!

What I really want is a punching bag for my living room.

i go to the gym and listen to fast, loud rock while i work out.

or, if i can't do that i take a shower and listen to a piece of music i really enjoy, conciously focus on the music, rather than whatever is stressing me out.

You know, I find it very difficult to feel stressed while eating ice cream. I am thinking they should serve it at all these meetings they have between heads of state in the midle east.

Try a chain saw. Its more therapeutic and you can get 'em at Home Depot.

Beating the heck out of a lump of bread dough always helps. Better yet don't make bread..make sweet rolls:)

Fortunately, my meds help keep it down to the 7.0 range!

However, when it starts to rise I take time out, take deep breaths and think wonderful thoughts!

Good luck, Miss T!:rose:

Scream at the top of my lungs,"Run, she's gonna blow." :D

I play Quake, shooting nasty little monsters who are out to get me first.

Scream into my pillow and punch it till it screams.
Then I call a friend and say, warning I am going to rant.
Let it all out, take a deep breath and meantally say STOP, and think of something really funny or positive.

Laughing helps a lot, a quick brisk walking while clenching and unclenching fists, muttering, so and so is a knob... neighbours will think you are nutty but who cares. :D

Take a long walk or bike ride.

Then call some friends.

Meet for good wine and food.

Get it off your chest, then move on.

Laugh until the early morning hours, about completely unrelated subjects.

I get lost in a book, usually one that i've read before and i know will leave me crying.
