Strange looking critter

Okay I have seen pictures of or actually ran into some strange looking critters before but this one takes the cake.

I'm glad that A) it's not native to my area and B) it's a deep water fish so I'm not going to run into it.

I can well imagine someones reaction if they look under a rock while diving and see this guy or gal looking back at them.

Knowing Cat, I'm kinda surprised there wasn't a recipe enclosed with this thread. :catroar:
 
I'd be curious to learn for whatever reason that thing even exists. I can't imagine anything would eat it or could be eaten by it. I guess it proves that Nature has a sense of humor. :D
