Strange date value for a pending story

Hello,

I submitted a new story on July 20 and it has been listed under "pending" in my "Works" tab since then. However, the story is listed there with the date of 07/24/2019. I am confused as to why that is and what exactly this means, as July 24 is a future date (namely tomorrow). I thought the date listed on a pending story should be its submission date. Thanks!

Unless I'm mistaken, that means your story has be approved and will be published tomorrow.

This. But there's some strange dating going on anyway. I had a date changed within pending on a couple of mine--not the date it would (and did) post but a date more recent that the date actually submitted. I just leave it and don't ask about until it's been in pending for a week. Hangups have happened to me. They've all gotten resolved in a week, but I've occasionally had to ask if the submissions have fallen in a crack.

I wonder if Laurel has got a two stage approach - the interim date shows she's given it the okay and it's gone into the Pending file, the actual Publish date when it goes live.
