She looks at me and I can't keep a straight face and I break into a big smile and she knows that I am kidding. I stand and walk over to some heavy brush and return with a small palm and a handful of wild onions. I clean the onions and the palm and cut out the center and I take a small pand and cut up the greens, using all the onion, bulb and shoots. A little water and I place the small pan in the smoker too.

"I noticed a lot of those onions growing on the island and if we are carfull we and only use a few at a time. I think they will last for awhile..... WE now have started our first garden. We will plant small gardens in and around the thickets and scrub brush on the lee side for protection.

Emily gets a plate and I take out the red fish and and plavce it on the dish. she gets a second plate and devides the fish in thirds, taking one-third to eat noe and saving the rest. I spoon out the onion and palm mix. I must say the plat looks gret. Well presented, A five star couldn't have done better.

A bottle of water to go with the food and we sat and ate a wounderful mid-afternoon dinner. Must be a Sunday to be having a mid-afternoon meal.

I would have to come up with something else to drink untill the coconuts were ready. they were still to green. We may have to tap into them sooner that I want to. Survival first

A good start. Fish traps would help and we wouldn.t have to tend fishing lines. Crab pots too would be good. I'll help Emily scour the islanf for items to cultivate in our garden. We will use leftovers from the fish for traps and furtilizer. WE had a reason to survive now. Each other. I think we can do it.
I will get Emily's garden started tommorow first thing. We should have a source of fresh food. She is a smart young woman and beautiful too.

Well we start discussion with water- we had a pretty nice suply with that natural water fall and pond, but we would need to keep it clean and make sure to takeout any dead animal from there.

Food yes but we needed to preserve the canned food and rely more on our catches

Fire- we could keep some stock of cut wood in one of the cabins as we still did not know the climatic cycle of this place

Shelter we had

Clothes- yes we had but heck who needed clothes with just the two of us here on the island

Garden- seemed a great idea

Fish trap- another genius idea of rick

Manuer for garden- we could keep remais of the food and broken of leaves in a pit t let it decompose and it will be a good manure.

So all done and so did our meal now i look at himas we clean our dishes.

"Rick what now?, do we just take a roun of the island to see around and check for more natural resources"

The redfish and palm was delicious and we ate our fill. We cleaned up the cooking and eating area.

"Yes, that is a good idea. We have to check and see what the sea has given up today and at the same time pay more attention to what is growing here on the island."

We started off and as we picked up items along the waters edge and moved they higher up and away to from the sea, we also explored the immediate area we were in. We found some berries of some kind (Don't know yet if they are safe.), a root or tubar, plenty of wild onions and another sub-tropical fruit. Items that would help us vary our diet.

As we explored round the island we saw a lot of tropical fruits which could be easily consumed as i knew quite a lot of those and as we moved around i saw a rare species of fruit with a special property that made it real valuable, it was like viagra, it stimulated sexual hormones, and as well improved the fertility of both men and women, i blush as i remembered this and you see me blushing.
