I just submitted a story ... does it take long to find out whether or not it has been accepted?

It takes about 3-4 days, Elle. Be patient, and remember that you can still tweak your story if you discover some errors you missed the first time(s) through. That doesn't delay the "acceptance" time either. Congrats on joining the ranks!

Patience has never been a strong point with me ~ nor has *tweaking* my writing. Another pair of eyes are necessary for that. I'm looking forward to some feedback ~ and maybe submitting some more of my ramblings. I've never shown anything erotic I've written to the *public* before.

Mine have been taking about 3 days. One thing that would be nice would be an e-mail, letting me know that it has been posted. Is that option available, and did I just miss it? :-(

Not exactly an email per se, but I always know when a story has been posted because I open my mailbox and there's feedback. New stories tend to get the bulk of feedback. Expect that as your heads-up if you can't/don't religiously check your "story submissions" page like me.
