No, it’s a shortage of electrons.
Without electrons, nobody would bother delivering your stories to whomever opens an URL. Recent economic changes have resulted in higher paying positions for electrons who report on the stock market. Instead of free junk stories, many electrons have been seduced into higher income internet sites and email periodicals.
Recent scientific developments have suggested that our ever-burgeoning need for electrons to carry our low-priority, low-profit pornography can be produced technically. This device is known as a Free Electron Pump, but, is still in the experimental stage.
Until such time as the FEP has been perfected, we must continue our outdated methods of impressing formerly-free electrons into service, to deliver our porn. Operating under our current conditions, the rounding up and training of troops of electrons continues to take time, which then makes itself felt as unforseen delays.
