Story submissions on Lit

I submited my first story on Lit, and its still pending approval..

How long does it take before its approved?? I added it at the beginning of this week.

It generally takes 4-5 days....but with the holidays it could take 2 weeks.
Some well respected authors here have also suggested that checking your status page every five minutes has an effect on the length of time it takes as well.
Ergo......leave it alone for a few days then go look.
It also depends on how much editing or correcting needs to be done, or reformatting.

Switch has got it right with one exception...Laurel doesn't edit your work...if you have spelling/grammar/plot problems Laurel doesn't fix them. However, if you submitted in word doc form instead of cutting and pasting, it will take longer.

Have patience, and stop checking your page every five seconds...I've tried that one...it doesn't help.

I pasted it into the little box they provide and fixed it so the paragraphs were all in order..

I aslo tried to get a volunteer editor to take a look at it, but I never got any replies back, so a friend did it for me.

I've only been checking it once a day, and not at all the past 2 days so NA!
