I wrote only 1 story and it was sent back. Does sent back=rejected or it's 2 separate things? It's my 1st story so I never had story rejected yet only sent back.

So if I understand well since this site doesn't allow AI then if story was suspected to be written by AI then it should be REJECTED but it was SENT BACK instead.
Im asking especially beacuse of this part "does not apply to stories rejected for content or AI issues"
So what can I do to get it published?
Also if someone could explain sent back / rejected diffrences (sorry if dumb question lol). For example can rejected stories be submitted again or no since sent back can but they just need some improvements right?
