Story Score is NOT Changing

Hello,

I hope this is the right place to post this. I've tried to mail to the "Literotica" Admin page, but was given a "Sorry" message and my message wasn't sent. I also tried to message Laurel, but was unable to send the message. I'm not sure why that is.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Has anyone had this problem? First, my new story fell off of the "New Story" listing. Now, my story score is not changing. And, I'm fairly sure it should be higher.

I read Manu's post and understand that there have been some unexpected problems with the voting on and scoring of stories and that you, Literotica Admin, have addressed the issue. However, I believe there are still some issues outstanding. For example, my story was posted several days ago. My score remains at 4.36 and has not changed at all. I find this score hard to believe since I continue to receive hearts for favored story and I've received favored author notification on my author's page. In addition, I've received several p.m's with very positive feedback.

The story is titled, "His Father's Son" and is under the author's name of Devils_Erotic_Angel.

If there is any way to identify possible issues with scoring on this story, I would appreciate your review of it. And, if it can be corrected, I would be thankful. On a selfish note, I want my little red "H"!!

You haven't reported anything that sounds unusual. Your story is in I/T, and that usually means that it has a lot of votes. As it drifts back in the "New" list it should get fewer and fewer views, and not a lot of new votes. Once your story has quite a few votes and isn't up front anymore the score will only change slowly. It's normal.

I don't think any of us know when all of this will be sorted out. I think since about the third week of March nothing is scoring right. Also, a lot of scores have dropped off. At least eighty of my scores have dropped, some by a lot, and haven't recovered. My story, A Fool In Love, was submitted on March 21st and never went above about 4.45 all week -- and it was the highest scoring story in Mature, which is hard to believe. Finally, after about two weeks, overnight, the score changed to 4.78, then 4.79, but I don't really think it had a fair shake in the April Fool's Contest with everything out of whack. I'm considering submitting again for the On The Job Challenge, but have a feeling the scores will still be off. It would be nice to know when everything is finally going to be righted. I have a feeling a lot of authors are waiting to submit till everything is fixed. It's kind of disheartening to work hard on a story, and then keep getting low scores that don't reflect how the readers are actually scoring.
Seems a lot comments are disappearing, too. But I guess all we can do is wait, and hope everything is eventually sorted.

Well, now I feel like I have nothing to complain about after reading about you losing or having scores changed. I lost a few days because my story was newly posted, then two days later it wasn't listed on the "New Stories" postings any longer. I've never had a story score not change in direct correlation to the positive feedback, favorite story, and favorite author votes. It makes no sense.

I think I'm going to hold off on posting any new stories until this is cleared up. Which is a shame because I had series run planned with this last story. But, like you stated, it's "disheartening to work hard on a story" and not see the rewards for your efforts.

Another Issue Identified

When I type in my story title on "Search Stories", it does not come up in the story listings.

I think there are more issues here then anyone is fully aware of. I'm not liking this.
