Story Recommendations

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this in, I'm fairly new to the site and have just been browsing the forums and sending out a couple of replies to try get me going!

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on which stories are your favourite / what I should read etc. there's so many that I don't know where to start!

Anything by Clive Cussler. I also like Piers Anthony, but that's not for everyone.
