Story: Prisoner on Tau-Ceti Two

A simple, everyday story of an escaped convict on an alien world, being persued by beautiful female guards in skintight uniforms!

I've done my best to present real choices in the story branches, and make it as truly interactive as possible, rather than a linear story broken up in to smaller pieces. Huge thanks go to Gunde, Zingiber, and most particularly to Android1966 for writing some superb threads.Thanks guys!

Android1966 and I have also done some illustrations for the story. The address for each picture is provided in the relevant thread. The images are posted at the 'Raunchyminds' site. One you've registered (free) at the Raunchyminds, you can simply paste the address in your address bar, and hey presto.

Any feedback you may have, on either the story or the pics, would really be welcome, and of course, feel free to join in!

In answer to your question, Amalgam, I have no idea how the rating and votes system works here at all. The number of views for the story seems pretty good (?) but the average rating is awful (?).

The ratings listed in the table you get from following the Stories link on your profile or by searching for it are incorrect. The ratings listed in the Stories link at the top banner of all the pages are correct.

Fencer, concerning the thread I added to the story. I'm thinking about asking the moderators to remove it and then post it again right after android1966's latest thread. Feels kind of redundant to have it on two seperate places, with the only thing different about them is whether or not the reader wants a little bit of more sex before reaching it. Is that okay with you?

Good, then it'll soon be done. And yes, I'll probably add a couple of more threads. But not that soon though, I'm afraid. Good story by the way, like the freedom given to the writer by the shortness of the first threads.

I have an idea for a storyline lasting for a few threads leading off from the merc pirates part of the story. The storyline takes them away from Tau Ceti Two though as the pirates fly off to a pirate world to sell the captured women. Is this ok?

I've finally had time to read this, and I'm impressed that so much has been written in such a short time. It's only been a month since I approved this story!

I've gotta say, both the 18/12 threads and the 'force dome at the beach' threads are really hot.

I also finally got around to getting a Raunchy Minds user ID. Nice! A real enhancement to the story.

New thread approved

A new thread in the Tau-Ceti story has been added by jtzmm. I have approved it, because it was very well written, and I felt, was true to the characters and the feel of the story as well as being damn entertaining! However I hesitated in doing so, because that branch of tale is primarily android1966's baby, and he's contributed so brilliantly to the story.

If you have any problems with jtzmm's thread, android1966, could you let me know? I approved the thread for the reasons I gave above, and also because if you had different ideas for how the story would progress, we could always make it a branch point in the narrative ?

Whoops! I didn't see this, or I would have waited before writing another thread after the last one was approved. I was just a big fan of that little subplot and couldn't resist when I had an idea for continuing it. Android, I hope it's okay with you...

Edit: But if the second chapter is approved I'm going to have to do a little editing. Just reread it and I never realized how many times I used the phrase 'he felt'. Ugh...

I've just read it and it's an great piece of writing. I've been really surprised at the attention to the previous threads jtzmm and also Gunde and Zingiber have shown when adding threads. The first half of the thread is actually uncannily close to the thread I've been writing next, as you say it's a handy place to branch the storylines. I certainly can't wait to see what Calvo has planned.

Wow, it's trite but I don't know what to say. First the compliments from Fencer and now from you...and to tell the truth I was feeling a little intimidated about adding one chapter, let alone two, because the level of writing for the entire story and the merc subplot especially has just blown me away. I was really unsure about how anything I wrote would compare.

slight problem...

The chapters I originally read through had Twelve and Eighteen chasing Calvo a little while, then recapturing him and taking him back to the ruined prison, where they ran into the pirates.

Only now I've been looking at some of the other threads, and there's one (involving the force dome at the beach) that has Calvo capturing several of the women, which also leads to the pirate plot.

I wrote my additions to the story based only on the parts I'd read at the time; Eighteen and the lieutenant's reactions to Calvo would have been much different if I'd known what happened down the other path. I also noticed that both of the clones are included in the holding cage, even though one of them was killed while Calvo had them prisoner.

Is it possible to unlink the chapter 'Revolt' from 'Back at the Prison'? because otherwise it seems like there's going to be some serious plot holes...

EDIT: After glancing at the story map, I see there's at least one other path that links back to the prison one. It doesn't seem quite as problematic, though IMHO it's still a little jarring and doesn't mesh very well. (Readers might wonder why Calvo has no reaction from seeing 'Two guardswomen, Twelve and Eighteen, were huddled together...' etc, when he'd left them tied up after ambushing them.)
