Not in the story itself, but people have set up polls in Forums. Don't know how you do it, but definitely seen it done. Best place would be the Feedback Forum, once you've figured out how the poll thingie works.

Can't imagine what you'll do with the responses, though...

I’ve seen them historically, but not since I’ve been here

I've done it, but that was by including a post-script after the story with a message from me and a list of questions for people to answer in the comments.
