Story pending

Can anyone help me?

I have written 2 stories on 23-9 this year. The stories are submitted, but they keep pending and pending and nothing happens.

No idea what i must do now?

Same here. Two stories have been pending since September. I’ve already sent a PM to Laurel twice—no response, no action, nothing. I’ve lost all hope now. I just write so more stories can pile up in the pending folder of this goddamn website.

I had one pending since beginning september - after reading a few comments from people with the same challenge I followed a suggestion to re-publish so I did a few little changes and send in again, knowing I will go back in "last position" . But still pending. I do see other people's (multiple) stories published during the same time (some of them I follow so I get notifications). No idea why it happens.... so I am wondering, since it's not coming back either with some advice on why it was not published...

I tried that with one story, but it didn’t work. It’s been over two weeks since then.

who is Laurel and how can i text him then?

This is very very annyoing really. Put some time and effort in it and..................... nothing. When the story is not good or whatever then just message me orso, but this is no fun

OK, an EDITED story I submitted has been pending since 8 Oct, but a new story submitted last week has been published. Is that normal, or is there an issue with my pending story?

Looks like that 1st story is in pending purgatory. You can search this forum and find many people in the same boat. I ended up deleting my story got tired of 2 months in pending purgatory. Tried all these suggested fixes none worked

I am curious if this long pending status is across the board or only in certain categories. Nobody mentions the category.

It was suggested on a different thread that if you post the story as an attachment, rather than using the dialogue box, they get picked up sooner.
I gave it a try and my last one was published in a couple of days, so may be worth a try.

Your email address is irrelevant. The submission process is fully contained within the Lit system, and email isn't part of the process.

Unfortunately, there is a random glitch with no apparent rhyme nor reason, and people keep falling into it. All I can suggest is to start a new Draft submission with a new story title, copy paste your content into the text box, make sure every field is filled out correctly, preview and submit. Make sure you've in fact done that last action. Then, don't touch the new submission at all. Delete the old one.

I have been in "Pending" for a month now. I know it's going to be my first story posted on Lit, but I have posted more than a few stories on other platforms, one of which was Smashwords via D2D, which I was led to believe has a connection to Lit in some way. I have messaged Laurel, but nothing in return.

Welcome to the club. From what I've read in other threads about pending purgatory don't expect a message from Laurel

I had an edited one pending for over a month, it disappeared this morning. The changes aren't reflected when I open it yet, but I suspect it's a cache issue.
