Story of gay son returning to home town

I read a story only a couple of months a go. A gay son returns to work at his fathers business after leaving an abusive relationship. He starts dating a guy at work but his ex shows up to "take him home" and leaves lewd pictures etc that his father and new bc see but don't care about. The new by confronts the ex outside the business etc and I think the father does as well.

Can someone please help me find this story.
