Story in pending for 7 days

Yes, there is a quite a backlog of stories that are pending.
Mine are usually up within 48 hours.
I'm on Day 5 of "pending".
It can be annoying because you want to see your work published and see how it's received, but I've learned from my many conversations with Laurel, that she goes as quickly as she can.

The explanation being that they were non-erotic and I'll be using them elsewhere. No point leaving google breadcrumbs for non-Litsters to find.

There's a shitload of 750s going through if this thread is anything to go by. Best frame of mind is submit it and (try to) forget it.

I'm just continuing to work on one of my stories, per day and it'll be up when it's up.

I've not encountered any delays in publishing until now. My latest published submission stripped all my formatting out. To be fair to the moderators I had used unsupported formats so that's not a complaint. I resubmitted the story with compliant formatting and a few corrections but it's been sitting in Pending for nearly a month.

I'd suggest you pull it back to Draft, add a Note to the Editor that says it stalled, then resubmit it. That way it will go back into the queue and get in front of Laurel. A month is an unusually long time.
