Story Idea!!

Would like some help in getting me started. I have this idea in my head. I could picture a boy and a girl both age 5 . They grew up together in the same neighbour hood. Always holding hands comming home from school or after the playground. They were always best of friends. Looking out for each other. Like a brother and sister would.Until one of them leaves after graduating from College.

were they bf/gf in college, or just best friends? is it a story of discovering love of a lost friend? or soulmates separated for whatever reason? not sure where you invision the story heading. though the idea of this deep and long connection between two people is intriguing.

I got the idea from my youngest son. We sometimes go to the playground together with a friend of mine and her daughter. They look so cute together when they hold hands running after one other. My son sometimes gives her a flower to wear in her hair. It is so sweet.

Hmmmm, kinda sappy but how about the one left behind grows to miss the other and decides that they can't live without the one who went to college so chases after. Say have adventures along the way until reaching the college where the chaser professes undying love for the other, who professes the same thing before dragging the chaser to bed.

sounds like some hollywood movie.... something has to rock the boat - some tension, not just parting. a rape, an infidelity, or perhaps make it a journey of temptations and other devious and degnerate obstacles that keeps them from actually being together...
