Story Idea: Mormon Incest Family Tradition

There is a wealthy, prominent, and well-respected Mormon family in Utah. All active, believing members. All in highly respected careers (doctors, lawyers, scientists, etc). Highly respected in the church & community (note: this family is not meant to resemble any real family). This family has a deep, dark secret: a generations long tradition of incest.

Each week, the family (extended family, so includes aunts, uncles, cousins) picks the name of an eligible (21 years old or older) female family member at random to be gangbanged by the males (also 21 or older). Also, the family is encouraged to "mingle" at will in-between these weekly "gatherings.". They do this because the family has a rare gene that gives them an insane libido, and the family (generations ago) decided that the only way to contain this libido & keep it secret was to keep it in the family (if anyone outside the family knew, their reputation would be ruined).

The story could be from the POV of a 20 year old male, freshly returned from a mission. He doesn't know about the gene or the tradition, only that he's insanely hooked on porn and masturbation because of it (even secretly did it on his mission). As his 21st birthday approaches, his female family members would be increasingly flirty with him, as they are excited for him to join. He doesn't realize they're flirting, only that they're increasingly acting strange around him. Could be a romantic subplot with him falling in love with a female family member (open relationship, so he can still participate in the tradition).

Where I'd have to decline is that there seems to be an inevitable drift in what's being suggested towards a longer story, complete with "subplots" etc. .. whereas I'm a short story fiend.

I envision the MCs initiation into the tradition like this: as long as MC can remember, there have been weekly family gatherings he hasn't been allowed to go to, and is told not until he's 21. He has no clue what goes on during these meetings. Then, after he turns 21, he's finally brought in to one of them. The name of a random female family member is drawn. Said female family member is ecstatic to be chosen, the other females are disappointed.

She is brought in front of the family, and begins to strip. OP is confused at first, then realizes with shock that she's getting naked, and then realizes all his male relatives are also stripping. He watches in utter shock and disbelief as his father fucks the female (could be MCs sister, so that its father/daughter here), followed by the female being fucked my all his male relatives in turn. When it's his turn, MC is hesitant but turned on (and religiously conflicted). He finally caves into his family's peer pressure, and fucks her.

Only after this does MC learn about the family tradition & the libido gene. Also, I don't envision MC to be into incest before this. I want him to be caught unawares, and shocked his straight-laced Mormon family would do such things, and I don't want him to be lusting after any female family members, at least not until after he gets a taste.

I also envision the story being first person POV of the MC, so no infodump about the tradition at the start. He only learns about the tradition & the genes after his initiation.

However, as detailed as my vision for this is, I'm open to other ideas along the same lines: active Mormon family with a long-standing tradition of incest (ideally with family gangbangs).

I like that idea, although I also like the idea of him watching in shock as his father fucks his own daughter/MCs sister. So difficult choice.

This is all very culty - but there's nothing wrong with that. I envisage it more being confined to an enclosed community, say a farming one like the Amish. A lot of secrecy and stressing of keeping everything within the cult. Shunning of outsiders and sticking to 'The Ways'. That kind of thing. A dark side to it. The claustrophobic atmosphere would work well for me.

^^^ There are quite a large number of tales of Mormon families being just like that, many homes in a private enclave. Unfortunately, some have been reported to be violent and abusive.

I personally prefer the family to *appear* to be normal from the outside, & be well-respected, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't read & enjoy one that took place in some secluded, private enclave.

The older traditional family mansion, maybe sort of Victorian (railroad robber baron, lumber tycoon) type from the late 1800s is situated on a small hill, also called a knob. The paved cul-de-sac where all the newer houses are built sort of appears to be phallic in aerial views. The larger circle takes on the appearance of a knob, in the phallic/Lit sense. And the whole story is about the family's (phallic) knobs landing in pleasure places.



Add a weird, cult, occult twist to it. In addition to the weekly or monthly sessions, there is an annual session. At midnight, everyone from all of the family homes walk nude the full length of the cul-de-sac to the mansion. What goes on inside? How much farther out do they get? Some sort of faux sacrifice? Maybe the welcoming of a new family member who has come home from school having just become of age?

Isn't that just a mite too in-your-face? Why stop there, if we're to do away with subtlety? Why not have the streets, for example, named after various body parts? As for the shape of the street lamps...

Why not get silly with symbolism? It's Lit. Have fun with it.



These are the types of things that could be written into a story by a crafty author without really saying such. See if the readers pick up on any of them.

As JaF0 says, the Eyes Wide Shut thing would suit this well. Not quite "ceremony" but what I would call a formal situation.
