Story doesn't appear in Activity

Yesterday I had no new stories in Activity. I have been perusing New stories, not relying solely on the new Activity, for several weeks now. Lo and behold, a favorite author had submitted a new episode! But it wasn't in my activity!! Double checked that my favorite author was still in the Following list, he/she was still there.

Somebody should look into this.

Thank you for the information and sorry about the issue. I am looking into this now.

We've had occasional issues in the past where a few notifications get dropped because of some issue with an account or a story, but if you're not seeing any that sounds like something worth researching. I'll see if I can figure out what's happening with your account.

I've had this happen too, I wait resignedly for a few days and it suddenly fires into life. The missing stories never reappear hence my assumptions about the design. I've also seen occasions where some post and some don't. I presume some form of stored procedure or (procedures) is responsible for these which may from time to time fail to fire or complete.
