If a character in a fictional BDSM story is branded, should the writer warn readers in the story description?
This chapter also describes a slave girl giving her master a blow job. Should a writer list blow job in the keywords?
Furthermore, does anyone have any other suggestions for choosing keywords?

Keywords generally help if a user is using the search function. I tend to put in my main characters names, any themes ie branding in your case.

You could always put an authors note at the top of your fic too. Or in the story description.

When I put in keywords, I try to imagine what features a reader might remember about the story after they've forgotten the title. Maybe they'll remember that there was sex in a limo, or in a motel, or that the woman kept her stockings on, or something like that.

In your case, I'd probably list "branding", but blow jobs are awfully common on Lit.

Instead of keywords, maybe the stories should be labeled with graphic symbols, along the lines of the international symbols for women's/men's restrooms. A bdsm story might have a whip, handcuffs, a branding iron, and for the really hardcore, a spoon and a dish of flan.

Not great ones, though. Maybe a quality rating for blow jobs is in order, like a scale of one-to-five happy faces.

Hello Just-Legal, dr_mabeuse, and shereads!

I would like to thank you all for your responses to my question.
After studying the submission guidelines, and considering your suggestions, I now have a plan. I appreciate the fact that you have all taken the time to help me figure this out.

When I was a teen I drew pictures of M/s, and even acted it out with my Johnny West, GI Joe, and Barbie Dolls.
In a desperate attempt to stop being "wierd," I stopped letting myself express those feelings.
Now, 30 years later, I am re-exploring. And am thrilled to discover that there are other people like me.
I have never shared stuff like this before. So thank you shereads, I am encouraged by your clarity of intent.
