I thought it was written by QHML1, but I didn't see it in their roster of stories (I noticed 'I Thought She Made You Up Ch. 01' is missing) but the story goes like this:
Blue collar worker is installing cabling by upper class houses where he notices a girl fall off a balcony. He takes her to the hospital (ambulance or his truck) and waits for her for a bit, then leaves her with her mother). Girl calls guy to thank her for saving her and then invites for dinner as a thank you. He then takes her out for a viewing of the stars with his niece and then they start dating. Girl's father is a politician of some sort and then needs them on the campaign trail where his wife/daughter are used a favors to get people to vote and the guy finds out. Dumps her and disappears for a bit. They come back together and father ends up going to prison, guy/girl come back together.
If you need more to the story, happy to share, but wouldn't mind favoriting it and re-reading it. It was a well written story.
