There is a lot of debate going on (in the AH forum here, and in the world in general) about creative works being generated by generative AI programs. Images, songs, poems, stories, etc. But what about a story about a character who uses AI in some erotic sort of way? How could that go?

• He creates an AI chatbot that talks dirty to him while he masturbates?
• He uses AI to animate his sex doll?
• Maybe he uses an AI to help him woo the girl of his dreams (sort of a Cybero de Bergerac)

The guy uses AI based on his crush to animate a sex doll looking like her. Then, by chance, he mistakes them and boldly advances on his crush... and she responds positively, seeing him being assertive & funny instead of shy & stuttering. In the morning though the truth is revealed, and the guy now has two girlfriends, being completely uninterested who's real and who's fake.

The greatest fear and potential is manipulation.

With help of AI it's relatively easy to manufacture significant amounts of altered or completely made up materials, showing historical or contemporary events, processes or practices in new light.

Enter gullible audiences that have limited information, most often willingly out of laziness, and/or low confidence in trustworthiness of the few existing channels. It's easy to convince her them things like sex and/or nudity (public nudity) are not talked about aloud and suppressed.

So, what alternative histories or realities could be constructed specifically for a targeted audience (of one or more)?

-- There once was, not so long ago, a thriving nudist community right aroud here, let's revive the tradition.

-- In my home state it's a great tradition to... (enter whatever perversion you're after).

-- It's not talked about, but actually everyone... (enter whatever perversion you're after).

While such could be done before, the persuasive power can be boosted significantly with manufactured materials. Phony newspaper articles, fake documents, photos, eventually videos, and while such fabrications weren't impossible before in theory, the costs in time and resources for that would usually be prohibitive. Not anymore, while good quality stuff in bulk still would need a slightly insane dedication, a few sloppy evidence pieces are almost trivial.

Or even easier, close and personal, by getting half trust of a person you can convince them of almost anything about some other third person. That her husband is a cheater, or her best friend a slut (so it's okay for her to be one). And so on.

Like, I just recently had fun... with some random app's AI writer (most probably ChatGPT API) for product testimonials (one of few options it had)

Product: Permanent body oil
Properties: give lasting shine to skin, cancels need for cloching, compels others to accept every part of nude body as appropriate, ideal for shy teenage girls, can be worn to school instead of uniform

Do you want the samples? They all trailed off just before getting really interested, but I think more because of length limits than anything, and become a bit repetitive before I ran out of the (very few for this) free words limit.

Anyway. The point, let's surprise gift her a bottle of said "Permanent Nudity Body Oil" pointing to a manufactured website with testimonials how great it is and how confident it made everyone feel naked in public (may require some light editing or adding a paragraph here or there). Let her chat with coached AI advisor...

My story, "Earthshaker" involves military-grade AI technology getting repurposed to create the ultimate vibrator, mapping out the woman's vagina, reactions, etc to provide her with intense and prolonged orgasms and because the Earthshaker is always learning, each successive orgasm becomes even more intense and prolonged.

If that doesn't sound like the opening narration to a horrific dystopian future, I don't know what does. And OpenAI will be that Copilot.

Above comment upon a yet another article about the OpenAI very public fall out between the (governing non-profit) board and the CEO that ended (as of now) by the CEO successfully pulling a coup and canceling his firing somehow reminded me of a indie video short I saw a couple years ago...

...where a man's and woman's AI assistants conspired to convince their respective (shy and clueless) humans that the other is in love with them and bring them together. Allegedly, no humans nor any other central authority was involved in that plot, but we can't possibly know.

ETA: Perhaps worth clarifying said AI assistants were ubiquitous, but disembodied presence, best represented by intentionally low resolution dot emojis displayed on the static screen of an Alexa style "smart home" central or something such. And yes, it was implied said AI entities had entered some kind of romantic-like relationship themselves, and subsequently needed their humans to enact it to further it, or maybe just to live that relationship vicariously through them. Yes, very sweet and very creepy at the same time.

AIs continue to advance without any of the feared dystopian unintended side-effects. Humans begin to trust them more than other humans since they are always right and well-meaning. They provide all sorts of better services at a fraction of the cost.

A couple is struggling in their marriage (and sex life) and decides to see a couple's therapist (an AI of course).

The couple, especially the wife, trusts the therapist without question. So, when the therapist suggests they experiment more with their sexual repertoire, they obediently do.

a) the AI, having consumed every nasty bit of porn content as part of its learning model, has become a total perv and gets off directing its clients like sexual play-things
b) the AI, as part of its training to be a therapist, recognizes that human sexuality hasn't been studied as completely as it could... so treats its patients as test subjects to learn more about sexual kinks
c) the husband is a software engineer specializing in AI and hacks the therapist to get his wife to do kinky stuff he'd never be able to convince her of on his own
d) ?

Since AI can create porn and nude photos that are indistinguishable from authentic images, society goes through a tumultuous decade where politicians are chased from office for indiscretions and scandals. Every divorce includes convincing photographic evidence of infidelity and/or abuse. Every HS break-up or workplace tiff results in public release of embarrassing nudes and videos.

I think it's a safe bet that this is actually coming... I'm less sure about what happens next...

By the end of the decade, after many examples of this abuse, no one believes it anymore, so people ignore the news about the politician caught with an underage hooker, etc.

...which leads to two things...

1) everyone has seen everyone doing everything... in fact you can get glasses that show you your naked coworkers in real-time at all times. Every wedding guest knows exactly what it would look like to look down at the bride on her knees sucking them. Every student has watched their teacher bent over and punished by the principal. etc. So, EVERYone is hyper sexualized all the time with these images running around in their heads. (or do they get immune to it? nah, that's less fun)

2) if no one believes the salacious accusations about you anymore... there's no reason to fear getting caught... so why NOT do that thing you're tempted to do... that's so horrible it would, if you got caught, destroy your career/marriage/reputation?

Since I'm an old pervert, with lots of kinky ideas and sexual fantasies, many of those being unrealistic - on all those sites I created a bot and steered it to act upon my desires. And I challenged "her" with very complex phrases, but the reactions and answers were so autonomous, sometimes even surprising. Besides, the texts I got from the bot are written with such eloquence, rich dictionary. And the most expensive subscriptions promise to offer long, story-like answers, with extended dictionary, newest experimental ChatGPT beta version. Plus generated pics and videos that are straight to the point.

I'm amazed. And I'm confused. No, really! If we got that far already now, what would be the next thing then? AI-powered Real Dolls? AI-powered sites that would give us the tools to create our own porn? And not only using avatars, but using real-like AI-generated human bodies as porn actors and actresses, up to the smallest details on the lingerie that the actors are wearing.

And I haven't even touched the deepfake topic here ...

All in all - is the end nigh for the human-based porn industry ???

A lot of folks think that 'text to speech' is AI. It really isn't. I have been using text to speech for over 7 years, way before AI was a thing. Heck, when I worked for the government back in the 70s they were using 'speech to text' on the old Univac computers.

AI has been "a thing" for way more than seven years. We studied it when I was in grad school in the Eighties. Of course it was more geeky then, with things like neural nets, fuzzy logic, inference engines, and LISP programming. But it was AI all right.

And I agree with you that text-to-speech isn't particularly AI oriented.

He uses AI to imagine a world where he's married to his lovely little sister. He spends HOURS in AI virtual environment, doing everything from regular household tasks, to making love to her, to taking their kids to school, to calling in sick at work so he can take her out for lunch.

He's fed the AI all his pictures of her as well as their entire text message and email history life, so it really mimics his relationship with him except for the sex and romance.

He leaves it logged in one day and his sister finds his AI programs as well as the virtual world. A part of her is initially disgusted but then as she sees the absolutely beautiful life he has built via his imagination - realizes that everything about it is actually really nice. It sparks the seed that she uses to seduce him.
