Does anyone else think "Stephen King" when they hear that on the news? All of you unfortunate people on the East Coast- watch out for the blizzard. You never know what the storm might bring in. hehe

I always think of him when I hear of some major outbreak of some disease, since 'The Stand' is one of my favorite books and I have read it about 25 times. And no, that is NOT an exaggerated amount. I really HAVE read it that much. :)
I LOVE his books!

I wish it would snow here, like in New England... I have midterms this week...oh I can only pray!

I haven't read that book, but - the ending apart - I thought the 'TV series' was pretty good.

am right in the middle of the "storm of the century" and all we are getting is rain...sighing....i say, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!! woooo hooooo....at least two days off for this one...the govenor has pretty much closed the state for the day today and probably tomorrow...to those of you who dont get snow, is like a mini vacation when they give you enough notice!

spoke too soon.....we are in the middle of a wonderful blizzard...no one is going anywhere till wednesday at the earliest....woooooo hooooooooooo

Yup, that would be the one! Loses some effect though if there is only rain and no snow.....

I dare to say that the bokk is just about...hmmm 100 times better than the TV series. And even that they made pretty good.
Only thing though, about the series. they cut out way too much crucial infomation.
Then again, I guess they couldn't show that on National TV here.
You'll see however, what I mean.

You are right there, Xander. The movie sucked compared to the book. Any time I watch the movie, I just get angry with the discrepancies in it, and turn it off and pick up the book. I don't even know why i bother watching it. Besides, Molly Ringwald wasn't a very good Frannie anyhow. :)

Yes, I think of that book but what really springs to mind when I hear that phrase is the fact that I chose the wrong profession.

I repeat that there is no more perfect job than that of weatherman. You get to be wrong more than 50% of the time and get paid big bucks to do it!

In what other profession could you make so many mistakes and still retain your job? ;)

Well, I am off to meteorology school now!

So who on the board is snowed in today and enjoying their time away from the world?
Not me, I get to go to the office in just a bit. No snow in the mid-West.
