Stories to make games of?

Hello everybody.
I'm a programmer/game developer, trying to make few short adult visual novels and build up a fan base. Being devoid of any writing talent, I came here to seek your advise for:
what kind of story to look for and where?
Are there stories that you wish you could see in game format?
Are there stories suitable for branching and multiple ending?
What kind of stories would benefit from visual element added to it?
What kind of stories would work with 3D renders? (I can't draw but I can render 3D images)
Do you have any advise for my situation?

I actually turned one of my favorite stories into a small card game prototype and ran into a bunch of weird stuff with getting people to pay attention to it. Found this page super helpful: https://www.rileyjamescopy.com/board-game-marketing. Gave me a better idea of how to talk about the game without sounding boring or too salesy. Might be useful if you're thinking of actually making a game out of one of these stories.
