I hold canes in a special category of toy. It is a devious pain delivery device. Not a just a toy that delivers a special sort of smack or whack. Not a focused pain delivery toy like a needle, hot wax or clip.

Canes are toys that deliver pain over a wide and yet paradoxically narrow area. They are not really toys, they are weapons.

Yes I have been caned, more than once, more than twice. They truly scare me. I was caned one time as real punishment for something I had done wrong in a bad way, I do not want that to ever happen to me again - not as a punishment. And she knew what she was doing, and did it the way it should be done.

Later she taught me how to use cane. I have become rather accomplished in it’s use, but I need to be in a certain head space to reach for one.

It is my belief that, in general, more females appreciate the beatings they receive from canes than males do. This is a very wide-brush sort of statement, it is a statement of a bias I have, it is not a statement of truth, and I know it will fall apart when individuals start to report. I am interested in how other receive canes.

When you crawl into the playroom, how do you respond when you see Top has several canes out at arms reach?

As with most things, I've never experienced caning... I find the idea quite intimidating and scary, to be honest.

WOW what an av!

At play parties I have seen women take levels of pain that stuns most men watching, and then they ask for more. Most of that has been woman-on-woman play by the way.

I've also noticed more popularity among the females as to canes and needles. Dunno what that's about. Maybe there are slight differences in how things travel along neural pathways that come into play. Sadly there will never be a study on this one.

I was actually talking to Master about this the other day. As I was showering recovering from a tack session the idea popped into my head. If he asked me ( which he would be very likely to do as he seems to delight in giving me choices where I wouldn't like either option) which would I choose tacks or cane, and I couldn't make up my mind. Just like the tacks, I hate while it's going on, but I love the marks that are left. You could flog or paddle me all night and I'd be ready for more with barely a tear in my eyes, but when it comes to tacks and canes, 20 mins tops, if I'm really in a certain space, sooner most of the time, and I'm sobing.

I rememer one instance with someone, where when things were all over and done with, I commented that I'd not felt pain like that outside of chidlbirth. It was a bit of a rush. *laughing*

I have one cane right now. It is an old english school cane. I rarely use it. I used to have a sub named bitch boy, and we went to the S & M Film Festival in NYC. It is now called Cinekink. There was a wrap party at the Den of Iniquity, and one of the Doms there gave me an impromptu lesson with bitch boy taking the heat. I should mention that bitch boy was one hell of a pain slut. he wore his marks proudly.

I keep it now for punishment purposes. So far I have not used it with my current slave. I doubt if I ever will.

I have not yet mastered the two cheek cane smack to my total satisfaction. I can get them both at the same time very close to the butt crack, but have difficulty covering much area with one strike.

I've considered buying him one, but every time I see them in the stores I think about how cheap and easy they are to make. Tip -- undershoot wherever you think the other cheek ends. By a lot. You'll be amazed how much you have to aim "off" to not wrap.

I'd take the single tail over the cane. Tho I've only ever had it used on my inner thighs and never more than 15 strikes.

i have only ever had the cane used once, and like you Shanky; it was used as punishment for something i had done wrong.

i too hope to never EVER have to go through with that again. something about the particular pain it brings .. i couldn't handle it for very long .. it bought tears and screams no matter how much i was told to keep quiet. i was shocked too .. considering how well i can take a flogger and paddle. canes just fucking hurt .. plain and simple. there is no build up to the pain .. the first hurts like the last.

as for females appriciating it more? maybe i should cane the partner when it's my turn and see who likes it best .. bwahaha.
