I agree the first ones were cute and it was a neat way to indiviualize. Now they're a hinderance.

I imagine like any other fad they'll get tired of them once the new car smell wears off.

It would be considerate to use someting smaller, though, so that it doesn't hinder page loading.

It might be kinda neat if maybe there was a way to put an icon like thingy on our member pages, though? Instead of on every post.

Oh and with an ordinary 56 kb modem, Connecting at 48-49 bps It doesn't take any longer than normally to view a page with the little dolly things on it.

I don't mind the dolly craze. once each is stored in my temporary internet files it doesn't slow down page loading noticably. The GIFs are small enough that even loading a new one doesn't take very long. Loading new JPGs in a signature does slow things down, but once it's on the temporary files it doesn't take any longer than the GIFs.

For those with WEB-TV or similar systems that don't have local caching, it's going to slow them down every time a thread loads I think.

Putting them on the side is preferable to me, but it does use up the location field so I tend to forget where people are from.

One good thing about the avatar dolls, is that those with gender neutral names are easier to sex.
