when you purchase the tickets all you know is the airport from which you are departing, the airport at which you will be arriving, and that you are guaranteed a seat on one of the eight "major" airlines that hotwire contracts with. you also have the option of clicking the "red-eye not okay" option, which means you will depart between 6am and 10 pm.
