OK.....editing out photos I can understand, but what I REALLY hate seeing on this forum is seeing people back pedal on TEXT posts and removing EVERYTHING they said before.
It totally messes up a train of conversation and I really dont see the point.
And it seems to be occurring more and more.
Am I alone? Is this "normal" netiquette now?
I know some are by mods for breach of rules and that's fine, but many seem to be just people changing their mind or being scared someone might quote them (on the forum or in RL)
If you cant leave it online....DONT POST IT in the first place would be my advice.
If you change your mind, edit and add a new paragraph explaining why to keep the context, OR make that "correction" in a later post, maybe quoting the person that helped you see a new point of view.
That's how "conversations" work.
