I remember back in grade school, I'm 56, learning that Police were authorities that were the good guys and to obey their orders.

It seems cops need training in deescalating situations. If you don't follow my orders be prepared to wrestled to ground, tased or shot. You were just asking for it. I am a cop and I know you want to kill me. The public is the enemy and need to be treated accordingly.

Part of the problem is cops are taught to take control of a situation to protect themselves. This leads to an ingrained thinking that if a person is not doing what they are told they must be a threat and need to be subdued at any cost. No need to think about it.
