Stolen stories yet again - (sigh)

(STOLEN stories - STOLEN stories. Why can't I edit a thread title? Grrrr.)

You may wish to check out this site - MyDearDiary.com. (http://www.mydeardiary.com/) There is at least one "author" who adds daily entries consisting of stories she has borrowed from other places.

The "author" freely admits to borrowing all the stories; I think she believes that by admitting that fact it somehow makes it all OK. She does not, however, give credit to the authors and in many instances she has removed the story titles.

I did a Yahoo search on a centrally-located paragraph in each of my stories to turn this up. I wouldn't have even done that but I was cleaning up from the Porn-story.com mess. (Is this getting ridiculous??)

Here is the contact information. There were terse to me at the first return email but I believe we've sorted it all out.

Authors, please check out this gal's 900+ stories. You'll have to search content because she removed titles but I'll bet there are more Lit stories there.

Earl - I read your contents on her "Diary" - they were excellent! And I love that you put a link back to Lit. (We'll get more readers here and stop her thefts at the same time.)

I did mine yesterday and only got them listed here but it took some time to get the list down to a reasonable number to search. I also did my name and got all my posts showing up(not sure I liked that).

Yes, I saw that earlier this morning.

(She also removed the many obnoxious comments that Earl and I have been leaving in her diary notes section - LOL.)

BUT - she has one fewer "diary entry" and the entry date of my story is no longer there, so I suppose she did remove it.

But if her diary is now private, can she still do what she was doing but only for a select few friends? I suppose it doesn't matter as it isn't out for everyone to read.

Yes, I should be happy that she has been silenced. (I did check the Rules & Regs for their site, by the way. They clearly state that members are not allowed to post anything in their diaries that is under copyright without express permission from the author. She has been getting away with that for years!)

Apparently she is removing all the copyrighted materials.

I just saw a couple of lit stories in a yahoo group, It's hard to check them as a lot are in indian, but they make no point of hiding the fact they did not write them
